Trailhead is at the heliport on the north side of Highway 4, one-half mile west of the Calaveras Ranger Station in Hathaway Pines, California. Park at the turnout outside the heliport gate and walk in; the trailhead is to your right. The turnout is unpaved but accessible to all highway-legal vehicles.
