What we don’t collect
- Name, email, phone, address — we never ask
- Account credentials — there are no accounts
- Payment info — nothing is sold here
- Browsing history beyond aggregate analytics
No accounts. No password. No personal data. Here's exactly what gets collected and how to opt out.
Google Analytics tracks aggregate visit counts (page views, time on page, country-level location) so we know which sections to invest in. Google AdSense serves ads. Both set cookies — disable them via your browser settings or extensions like uBlock Origin / Privacy Badger if you prefer.
When you click “Find Nearby” we ask the browser for your coordinates. You can deny. If you allow, the coordinates are sent only to our search endpoint to find trails and parks within your chosen radius. The request is not logged with personal identifiers.
Your last known location and selected radius are saved in your browser’s local storage so the page works on return visits without re-prompting. Click “Clear saved location” on the Nearby page to wipe them anytime.
Heart/check buttons save items to your browser’s local storage — never our servers. Switch browsers or clear storage and the list is gone. Visit /profileto view or clear what’s saved.
