How to Get There

Take Independence Avenue east past the Capitol Building to 2nd Street, SE, where it intersects Pennsylvania Avenue. Bear right onto Pennsylvania Avenue and proceed to 11th Street, SE. Turn right onto 11th Street. Proceed 4 blocks and take the up ramp to the 11th Street Bridge. Follow sign to Martin Luther King Jr. (MLK) Avenue, SE (left lanes). Follow MLK Avenue to Morris Road (less than a mile); you will pass a Big Chair on your right. Turn left onto Morris Road and proceed up the hill past 17th Street where Morris Road becomes Erie Street. In less than 5 blocks, Erie Street will become Fort Place. Bear right at Fort Place. The museum is on the right.
