About Rocky Branch Seasonal Campground (SC)

Overview Rocky Branch Seasonal Campground is located on the Enoree Ranger District of Sumter National Forest. It's location in the southeastern corner of the district in Fairfield County. The Broad River flows near the area, a couple miles west of Rocky Branch. It offers seasonal camping opportunities to hunt whitetail deer and wild turkey during big game deer and turkey seasons. The campground is situated on hilly terrain in a dense pine forest with an elevation of approximately 500 feet. Long hot summers and mild winters are the norm for the Enoree Ranger District. Early winter temperatures range from low 40's to upper 60's degrees and summer temperatures range from high 80's to high 90's. Recreation Rocky Branch is a seasonal hunt camp on the Enoree Ranger District open mid-September through early January for big game deer season and the month of April for spring turkey season. Wild turkey and deer can be found in the area. The area offers opportunities for wildlife viewing, as well as appreciation of the Piedmont forest and scenery. Facilities Rocky Branch Seasonal Camp offers a primitive camp setting with one campground loop. The road is flat and graveled and is easily traveled. The campground has ten campsites. Campsites consist of a shady grassy area with a rock fire ring. Many sites will only accommodate smaller camper trailers or tents. The campground doesn't provide picnic tables, electricity or wifi and cell coverage is sporadic. No hookups available. There is a minimum of one person and a maximum of eight people allowed per site. There is a minimum of one vehicle plus camper with a maximum of two vehicles plus two campers or two tents or one camper and one tent per site if the site will accommodate them.
