About 33 miles southwest of Challis, Idaho. From Challis, go 2 miles south to the junction of US 93 and ID 75, turn right (south) travel 16 miles on ID 75 to the East Fork Road and turn left (south). Drive 15 miles south on East Fork Road (Forest Road 120) to the turn-off for the Jimmy Smith trailhead access is marked on the road.
