About Grand Hotel
Grand Hotel, built in 1887 and a member of Historic Hotels of America® since 2001, was designated by the U.S. Secretary of the Interior as a National Historic Landmark in 1972. Historic Hotels of America is the official program of the National Trust for Historic Preservation® for recognizing and celebrating the finest historic hotels across America. The all-American Grand Hotel has been an iconic summer resort since it opened in 1887. With a 660-foot-long veranda, the world's longest, the Victorian-style hotel offers amenities on an equally impressive scale. Seven suites are named for former first ladies Jackie Kennedy, Lady Bird Johnson, Betty Ford, Rosalynn Carter, Nancy Reagan, Barbara Bush, and Laura Bush, all of whom were consulted in the designs. In 2003, Grand Hotel was named as one of America's Dozen Distinctive Destinations by the National Trust for Historic Preservation. In 2017, Historic Hotels of America honored Grand Hotel's 130th Anniversary as a steward of history and historical preservation. For Price Match Guarantee and Special Offers, please visit HistoricHotels.org.
