About Prompton Lake

Prompton Lake ? A 526-acre project, having a 290-acre lake. Except for a single boat launch, there is no Corps-operated recreation. Swimming is not permitted. Boating is permitted, although there is a 10-hp limit. Picnicking and hiking are available, as is hunting, in season, on adjacent PA Game Commission-managed lands. Majority of land surrounding the lake is owned by the Commonwealth of PA, and is designated as Prompton State Park. Presently undeveloped.
