This small, primitive day use area serves as a minimalist boat launch/take-out location for boaters and fishers on the Deschutes Wild and Scenic River.Know Before You GoNena Day Use Area is open for day use year-round; camping is prohibited.Except for a primitive boat launch, there are no facilities here. There is no cell service here.Lower Deschutes Boater Passes are required year-round, for both day and overnight use, for anyone using a watercraft or any other floating device as a means of transport on the Lower Deschutes River.In the Deschutes River corridor, campfires and smoking are allowed only from October 16 through May 31, annually, unless posted otherwise.

How to Get There

From City Park in Maupin, Oregon: Drive south via BLM Access Rd/Deschutes River Rd for 6.8 miles; the recreation site is on the right side of the road.
