About North Park
Overview North Park is only open Friday at 3pm until Sunday at 2pm April 1 - Sept 30. The Park is a primitive campground and each site comes with a picnic table, grill, fire ring, and access to the lake. Recreation Canyon Lake has become well known for boating, swimming, scuba diving, and so much more. Facilities Available facilities in the park include a vault restroom, 3 water fountains, 20 tent only campsites. How to Get There
North Park is located off FM 306 near the dam. From IH 35: Take FM 306 exit 191 located just west of New Braunfels. Travel west on FM 306 for about 18.5 miles until you get to North Park Road. Turn left onto North Park Road and follow it until you come to the park at the far end of the road. From US Hwy 281: Take FM 306 east about 16.5 miles until you get to North Park Road. Turn right onto North Park Road and follow it until you come to the park at the far end of the road.
