About Zion Nature Center
During the summer, rangers staff the interactive Zion Nature Center from 12 pm - 5 pm daily! This is a perfect place to learn about geology, animals, and the history of Zion. Explore different habitats, enjoy bird songs, listen to canyon tree frog calls, and participate in Junior Ranger programs — all in an air-conditioned building. The inside of the Nature Center has a variety of tactile exhibits, animal models, rotating exhibits, and arts and crafts. Park rangers host programs throughout the day.
How to Get There
The Zion Nature Center is located along the Zion-Mt. Carmel Highway, about halfway between the Zion Canyon Visitor Center and Human History Museum. To reach the Nature Center by car, drive just under 1/2 mile northeast from the park's South Entrance. There will be a turn for the Nature Center parking lot. To reach the building by walking, use the Pa'rus Trail. About 1/4 mile from the Zion Canyon Visitor Center, there will be a path that turns toward the Nature Center.
