Overview Red Banks Campground, located 23 miles northeast of Logan, Utah, sits on the banks of Logan River. The aspen and willows on the campground offer partial shade to some campsites, and the heavy grasses and shrubs offer privacy from fellow campers. Facilities Red Banks is a small 12 single site campground right on the banks of the Logan River. Each camp site offers a picnic table and fire ring. Vault restrooms are available. Natural Features The Logan River laps gently along the borders of this campground. Directly across the river lies a steep red bank of sandstone and conglomerate that give the area its colorful name. Nearby Attractions Bear Lake, often called the Caribbean of the Rockies for its intense turquoise-blue water. As visitors catch their first glimpse of the lake, they marvel at its color and wonder what makes the lake so blue. The unique color is due to the reflection of the limestone deposits suspended in the lake. The state park offers a developed marina with paved boat ramps and boat slips. In addition, there are boat ramps at several other places around the lake. Each season lends its own characteristic to the lake.
