About Deer Creek State Park

Utah State Parks: Windsurf, boat, zip line and fish on the cool waters of Deer Creek Reservoir. The nearly 3,000-acre reservoir has predictable winds for excellent water sports and five species of sport fish. After a day on the water, camp under the night sky at one of the several campgrounds, all with spectacular views of nearby Mount Timpanogos. Deer Creek Trail is a nonmotorized trail tracing the western hillside of the reservoir open to mountain biking, horses and hiking. The park and campground offer full hookups, restrooms with showers, boat ramps, fish cleaning station, multiple day-use areas and concessions. Deer Creek Reservoir is about 52 miles southeast of Salt Lake City. Head east on I-80 then turn south on U.S. 40 exit 146. In Heber City, take the fork west on U.S. 189. From Provo, Deer Creek is about 25 minutes from downtown on U.S. 189 (Provo Canyon). Summer: 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. Winter: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Make a reservation on the Utah State Parks reservation site
