About Small Vehicle Campground

The small vehicle campground is located within the Scab Creek Recreation Area. It provides 12 sites, including one group site. No pack stock are allowed in this campground. Scab Lake trailhead is located at the entrance to the campground, and Scab Creek trailhead is located along the road before entering the campground, at the backpacker parking area. There is a vault toilette and potable water available.

How to Get There

From Pinedale, drive south on US 191 for 12 miles, turn left at the gas station in the town of Boulder, and head east on WY 353 for 7 miles. Take another left onto Scab Creek Road, which is a gravel BLM road, follow this road for 1.45 miles take a slight left onto Scab Creek Access Road and follow it until you reach Scab Creek Recreation Area, roughly 5.5 miles.
